The ‘Comfy Bum Chair Bag’ was first designed to help my daughters cope with joint pain after sitting on uncomfortable hard plastic chairs at school. They both suffer from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Being a teacher for thirty years, I saw first hand how children would become restless and fidgety if they weren’t feeling comfortable.  This often led to loss of concentration and poor retention.  The answer was a dual purpose handy chair bag with a comfy seat and back rest. The  ‘Comfy Bum’ is very popular with kids and teachers.

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a genetic condition that affects many children and their families, as a result of faulty collagen throughout the entire body.  This results in many symptoms including joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, fragile tissues, gut problems, heart problems, dysautonomia, dislocations, joint and muscle pain.
